The rules that govern your use of Kibbo — written to be clear and fair for every family.
Effective Date: June 19, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Kibbo mobile application and the website at kibbofamily.com (together, the "Service"), operated by Seldom Rest Innovations LLC ("Kibbo," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you are setting up Kibbo for your family, you are doing so as a parent or legal guardian, and these Terms apply to you. Child accounts within a family are created and managed by the parent and are covered by Section 4 below.
Kibbo helps families manage chores, bonuses, allowances, savings goals, and sibling money transfers. Parents create chores and bonuses, review and approve completed work, and manage allowances. Children complete chores and bonuses, track savings goals, and request to spend or transfer their balance, subject to parental approval. See Section 7 for an important clarification about what these balances represent.
A parent account may be created by an adult (18 years or older) with the legal authority to supervise the children added to their family. Child accounts are created exclusively by a parent through the parent's account; a child does not independently create an account or independently agree to these Terms — the parent does so on the family's behalf.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Your family's join code (used by a second parent to join your family) functions as a secret credential — anyone who has it can join your family — and you should treat it the same way you would treat a password.
As the parent who creates a child's account, you are responsible for: the accuracy of any information you provide about your child, supervising your child's use of the Service, reviewing and approving (or denying) your child's activity within the app, and managing your family's settings, including notification preferences and account deletion.
New families receive a 30-day free trial automatically upon signup. Each family is eligible for one free trial; deleting and recreating a family account does not generate a new trial.
After the trial, continued access requires a paid subscription, currently $4.99/month. Subscriptions are purchased, billed, and managed entirely through Apple's In-App Purchase system and your Apple ID — Kibbo does not process or store your payment card information. Your subscription auto-renews until you cancel it through your Apple ID's subscription settings; Kibbo cannot cancel or refund a subscription on your behalf, since that is handled by Apple according to Apple's own policies.
If pricing changes, the new price will be reflected in the App Store, and Apple will provide any notice to existing subscribers that Apple's own policies require.
You agree not to: impersonate another person, access or attempt to access another family's account or data without authorization, share your family's join code with anyone outside your family, reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, or use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
Balances, allowances, bonus amounts, and savings goals tracked within Kibbo are informational records that exist solely inside the app to help families track chores and allowances. Kibbo is not a bank, does not hold real funds on behalf of any user, and does not transfer real money between users or to any bank account. Any actual payment of allowance to a child is a matter between the parent and the child, entirely outside of Kibbo. The only real monetary transaction Kibbo is involved in is your subscription payment, processed by Apple as described in Section 5.
A parent may permanently delete their family's account at any time from within the app's Settings. This action immediately and irreversibly deletes all data associated with the family, including every child's data, and cannot be undone.
We may also suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Seldom Rest Innovations LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in subscription fees in the 12 months before the claim arose.
We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. If we make a material change, we will provide notice (such as an in-app message or update to this page). Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
